Shareef Hameed currently works as a Mentor/ Counselor in Durham Public Schools. Bro Shareef works with children that have behavior, mental, & emotional issue. Shareef Hameed has spoken on national radio, spoke at churches, mosques, community centers, etc on topics such as crime in America, black history, religion, relationships, education, the behavior of children, drugs, & many more topics. Bro Shareef loves working with mentoring/ counseling black & Latino boys.
Shareef Hameed currently lives in Durham, NC with his wife of 20 years Takia Hameed, 2 sons Najee & Naim, & a 24-year-old son Jordan that lives in his home state of Pennsylvania. Bro Shareef has a BS degree in Criminal Justice & a Masters in Substance Abuse Counseling.
Shareef has been the black history instructor for the Rites of Passage program which is a national African based program that brings boys 13 to 18 into manhood.
