How To Prepare Your Car To Be Detailed?

Before dropping your vehicle off to be detailed please remove all personal belongs. Although I will take the utmost care with anything left inside your vehicle, I cannot be held responsible for any personal items left behind. If you would like the inside of your center console or glove box cleaned please remove all of those items as well. After detailing is a great time for a fresh start and re-organization of what you keep in your vehicle. If you have any magnets on your vehicle please remove those as well. I will not remove any stickers from your car unless requested.

Detailing Terminology Waxes & Sealants:

A wax is a protective coating made from natural carnauba wax (from a Brazilian palm tree) and other types of natural and synthetic polymers that provide superior depth and shine to paint that is otherwise impossible to achieve.

A paint sealant is similar to a wax but is a completely synthetic blend of polymers made by chemists. Both products enhance your cars appearance and protect it from the elements such as acid rain, road salt, UV rays, corrosion, tar, bug guts and bird droppings.

Paint Defects & Paint Correction:

Paint correction refers to the process of removing paint defects in a vehicle’s finish and restoring it to an, often times, better than new state. The most common paint defects are oxidation, swirls and scratches, Random Isolated Deep Scratches (RIDS) and UV damage from cause by the sun. Paint defects are usually the caused by improper washing or detailing methods, incorrect use of machine buffers, automatic car washes and neglected contamination such as sap, bird droppings and bug splatter. By compounding and polishing the paint we are able to remove defects permanently and create a high gloss, mirror shine finish.
